about ashley

I’m Ashley, a photographer, graphic and surface pattern designer.

I’ve always had an eye for color and it’s visual representation in my mind. I can remember in kindergarten, putting my birthstone ( peridot ) earrings up to my sweater just to make sure they matched perfectly to wear for my first day of school. And then that led me through high school art classes that I was able to show some work, but never really had a style. I thought I was headed to college for architecture, but after dabbling around with my dad’s Pentax 35mm, I found my love for mixing photography and color with design. I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography from Winthrop University and have been creating design + photographs for over twelve years.

The heart behind image to impact

I had been a photographer and designer for about ten years before my dad suddenly died at the age of 58. I’m so gracious and blessed that he walked me down the aisle, and gave me away to my precious husband Evan. Through years of grief and learning how to function without him, I’ve learned the indefinite reasons why photographs are an heirloom, and possibly the only physical item that references certain times or feelings in your life. I want to preserve that for as many people within my reach.

Throughout my life as an artist, I’ve learned that my expression is artistic duende - the power to deeply move someone through art. Through the way I make you feel valued, beautiful, cared for, significant, and supported as I photograph your first moments with “your person,” or simply how much you love your newborn’s sweet little nose — to the way we elevate your brand or wedding’s presence by creating a visual representation of your perfect picture. My goal is to create imagery that creates an impact.

Who Do I work with?

My clients are individuals who are looking to preserve even the most simple of memories through photography and value a uniquely classic and timeless approach to heirloom stationery and original brands.

I call South Carolina home where I live with my precious husband Evan and two daughters, spunky curly haired four year old Coralie, and super petite 5 month old Aria. I can’t function without a few cups of coffee with almond milk creamer and I eat chocolate on a daily basis. I love sipping on a glass of red wine and a night in with sweats, but also enjoy hopping around to fun restaurants and eating all the seafood I can. I travel basically anywhere I’m asked, but I love a the crisp air of the mountains. If you’re interested in grabbing a cup of coffee, let’s connect!
